JADA Construction is a dealer and installer of structural insulated
panels manufactured by Enercept. Structural Insulated
Panels (SIPS) offer thermal and structural superiority over traditional “stick
frame” construction at a comparable price.
While it is possible to achieve 5 star+ performance
using conventional framing, the costs of doing so are very high. SIPs
construction is the most cost effective way to achieve this level of thermal
performance.
Structural engineers who are familiar with SIPS will attest
to their strength. Stick framing cannot compare to the strength of a SIPS
building system. This makes them ideal for high wind locations. The Doolens live in such a location and sleep right through 100
mph winds.
Where outside noise is an issue, the sound you hear from
inside a SIPS building is coming through windows and doors, not the panels.
This makes them ideal for locations in close proximity to airports, railroads, busy streets, highways, and high wind locations.
The SIPS system combines framing, insulation, and sheathing
into a one-step procedure. The result is faster framing and less labor cost.
You will also save 40% to 60% on your home heating costs – FOREVER – when you
build with super energy efficient Structural Insulated Panels.
The JADA/Enercept team offers the
best in service and tech support to match your needs. We at JADA feel the Enercept patented system offers clear dollar-and-cents
assembly advantages over competing brands; with more work completed at the
factory, less work is required at the construction site. We truly wonder: “why
would anyone want to build any other way?” JADA President David Doolen constructed his own home in the upper reaches of
Rabbit Creek Valley using Enercept SIPs. For more
information on the Doolen home, click here (link to
Dave’s bio).
Insulated concrete forms (ICFs) are JADA’s preferred
foundation/basement method. We perform this specialty using
locally-manufactured Anvic foam blocks. ICFs are
another one-step procedure that provides the form work for poured-in-place
concrete, while also providing the insulation. This results in strength and
thermal efficiency advantages over the more commonly-used concrete block.
While most of JADA’s work has been in the Anchorage bowl,
from Girdwood to Chugiak, we offer services anywhere in Alaska.
